When my child had started to walk we took her to DisneyLand and I bought a baby pick harness/leash for my daughter. I was so afraid someone pedafile (spelling?) would take my baby that it seemed like one extra precaution that might keep someone away from my child. It was a one time use, but a valuable tool to make sure in a split second I didn't loose my precious child.

This poor Mom sounds like she may have her hands full and your Doodle responded in true Doodle form--non-reactive--yea!

I am truly sorry for your loss. It is sad when their personality changes and they turn into another dog, not unlike many aging people.

I laughed my head off when I saw people with their kids on leashes 15 years ago right before I became a Mom, but now I understand. A little fear can go a long way when it comes to our babies (canine or human). No offense at all taken, I completely understand how it looks from the outside!

Nice to be here again exchanging thoughts and ideas! I was buried under the stress of my husband's illness and the book. I like being here sharing my experiences and knowledge (or lack thereof--LOL) much better!

Thanks, likewise! If I don't get ready now my workout partner may call me an ex. She is picking me up for Pilates in 10 minutes and I better be ready! Lastnight I got tied up in dog stuff and she called me an insulting name--LOL! I'll check in later tonight or tomorrow!
