Kids on leashes are definitely a red flag! I'm very sorry about your Digby. We have a black lab, Duncan he's 4yrs old and 2 doodle pups, both females that are 8wks old. It doesn't take long for animals to get attached to one another or to us. Good job helping Digby through. I noticed you're from NC, my in-laws have a schnauzer, Bentley, who is just beautiful and wonderfully playful/friendly. Their breeder just had a litter. They live in VA, you may not be ready now but when you are they'd be some great people to get into contact with.
