We had four forum family Doodle attend the romp: Dakota, Copper, Jett and Napa! I think they alll had a great time! The next romp is in about three months. Since some of our 'family' has to travel sooo far -- Kristen and Anthony came from Sonoma -- I'd be willing to have a BBQ and open the pool for dog dips after the romp if anyone is interested!

Here's pics--I think all the dogs--Doodles and otherwise--had a grand time!!

Looks like it was fun!!! Thanks for sharing!
 Love the photos!! What a fun time! Thanks!!
Thank you for posting pictures Diane!

We had a great time at the romp until SOMEONE  (I won't mention any names, but think short, black, and chubby) started getting knarly with any four legged creature that dared to come within her body length from her chair. She did sooooo GOOD for our first 45 min. She actually mingled with the crowd, visited with other dogs, and posed for a picture with a look-alike doodle named Pepper. She does better each time she goes. Yay for Jett!

Copper, well, what can I say. He is a curious creature and lots of people came over to check him out.

Dakota, what a dog! If you ever get a chance to meet that ball crazy boy you should take it. He will bring a smile to your face with just his exuberance alone. And boy can he catch a tennis ball.

We missed Napa, Kristin, and Anthony AGAIN! :( One of these days we will meet. Maybe next time at the BBQ. (gracious offer Diane)

WOW awesome pictures Diane...........
Looks like such a fun time..........
Beautiful dogs everyone!!!!!!!!!!
Denver would love to meet a fellow ball crazy dog...............
Look like fun
Just wanted to pop my head in.

Diane, thanks for taking pictures, and posting them. If we're in the state when the next Doodle Romp is (I might be going back to RI for the summer and Anthony might have an internship in DC for the summer) we would LOVE to have a BBQ. Dakota can teach Napa how to dock dive!

Doggonecrazy, we actually saw you. You were getting ready to leave when we walked in. I recognized you, but I didn't expect you to recognize me, especially since I haven't posted recently.

I did take like four pictures, but I left the camera in the car and I haven't gone back down to get it, so I'll post when I get the chance!
what great photos :) I love the slideshow too...I need to learn how to do that :)

Our romp is next Sunday - keeping my fingers crossed for good weather! We hit 60 yesterday and it's yucky and 40 again today
I didn't take the time to elaborate yesterday, so I'll explain some of the pics now. Jett was a charming social butterfly! She decided to cool off a bit in the shade by HER chair and goody bag. When guess who think he needs to check out Jett and her stuff. And then all the other romp dogs-many who she didn't know-also decided to check her little space out. Can you blame a lady for getting annoyed??

Pretty Jett and nosey Dakota

Just for the record, Dakota has spent most of his life in the company of male dogs. I believe Jett was one of the first ladies that go this attention a couple of years ago. She again took the lady's prerogative of putting him in his place. The next lady that commanded his attention was Jac's Rosie. She also quickly put him in his place. Bottom line is I think Dakota just believes this how girls are and takes it all in stride! But he has such good taste!

Rosie

Copper's beautiful coat and wonderful disposition make him the star of every romp. Here he patiently puts up with yet another examination of his beautiful locks!!

Before he finally retires under his tree.

And Vicky's sons . . . what can I say! They are soooo sweet and ALWAYS help us entertain Dakota-it takes a regiment of help to satisfy his tennis ball needs!

Vicky describes this pose as "Classic Dakota!" Feet apart, eyes intent, waiting for the tennis ball!

And then, we were just delighted when Kristen and Anthony arrived with Napa! What a handsome boy! Kisten tried to convince me that before Napa's recent daycare experience, he was a social recluse. Well, if you say so Kristen, but at the romp, Napa was a charming socialite!!

Finally had to include this lady. Her uncle, Gibson, is the largest Great Dane according to the Guinness Book of World's records-on his hind legs, he stands 7 feet tall!!!

Diane....once again, great pictures of all. So nice to see forum family meeting up together. Jett.....you just be you, and the heck with the nay sayers!!
You're looking good Napa, looks like the hairs all grown back, and then some. Dakota and Copper....looking good boys!!
hehe...I love your narrative :)

That is one big dane!!! The first time I met one I was afraid, but I learned how gentle they are :)

Diane ... thanks for the great shots and the narrative! It's so much fun to see our doodle family "reunioning"!

Two weeks 'til ours ... Can't wait ... I'm even delaying a short trip with Marc by a day to attend ... don't know if any of our midwest forum family will attend (unless Gene gets his three fuzzy butts down here ... or would that be four?  )

Can truly believe that about Dakota ... he always looks game for anything and the rest of the doodles are darling also.

Many thanks!
We couldn't make the 500 mile round trip..... wish I had .
After a week long driving vacation during spring break, we just couldn't swing it. For sure next time!!!!
Thanks for all the pictures!!!!
I know at least one of my puppies were there... a beautiful apricot F1B female, freshly groomed, 6 months old named Kady? I have been patiently waiting for a pic from her owner, but she has had a hard time trying to getting a picture to attach so that I can see how she's grown.
Anyone meet her? Her owner said she talked to alot of people, and that there were about 25 Labradoodles there so maybe someone here met her.

I didn't really ask the names of the dogs, but I took a total of 90ish pics so she might well be in one or more of them. If you are interested, pm your email to me and I'll link you to my Web album.
