hey! I have a crazy question.. I own a labradoodle (her mother is a labradoodle and her father is standard poodle) she has been around my boyfriends dog which is a golden retriever... we are not wanting to & have not planned on breeding them. The labradoodle has come into heat and we took her down to my parents house for now, but we aren't sure if it was to late... would golden labradoodle be the name if they did breed or is golden labradoodle a labradoodle bred with a goldendoodle?! thanks so much for any help.

Hi Laura,
Is your boyfriends dog a Stud dog? Is that he isn't neutered?
I'm sorry but I can't help but think that somehow you weren't being responsible.
Why isn't your doodle spayed? Are you planning on breeding her?
Is she breeding quality? Help me to understand why you aren't being irresponsible pet owners?
Sincerely,
Diane

Hang on one second, Remdawg, that's a bit harsh. :| All they wanted to know is what they could call the puppies if the dogs had bred, not a list of what you think are their failings as a pet owner.

laurend: I don't think there would be a definite name for doodles bred with golden retrievers, even now some people still call doodles mutts! (and to be strictly honest, they are) I would say whatever you wanted to call them then go ahead. :)

The pups will be F1B labradoodles. F1B would be 75% lab 25% poodle. F1 means first generation which your dog is. The B stands for backcross. Usually when referring to labradoodles F1B is backcrossed to a poodle to result in a lower chance of shedding. This breeding is pretty popular. No one intentionally breeds F1B to Lab. There is no market for it.

If your dog is not pregnant you should have her spayed. Reputable breeders have a spay clause in the purchase contract. To breed a dog you purchased you usually have to purchase breeding rights.

Holy smoke lady, I can't see you helping people for too long on this site. I have been a animal owner for my 56 years of life and not once have I ever seen anyone talk to a concerned pet owner like you just did. God help you lady if you ever make a mistake in your lifetime. Besides Some mistakes in life turn out to be the best mistakes.
If you really want to worry about dogs then you should worry about the ones who are being beaten and abused not the ones who are going to have puppies like animals do. Do the wolves in the forest have owners making sure they don't have pups? You need to quit this job and apologize to that person. You are horrible at this job.
To the lady who asked the question, its all good ask your question to someone else. Im sure they'll treat you much better. I was wanting to know the same question FOR WHEN I BREED MY LABARDOODLE TO MY GOLDEN. and I am not looking for an opinion from this site cause I don't care what this lady thinks,. She's Defiantly not a dog helper. Jailer would be good for you.
