I have another poop-related question (sorry!!). Remy has always had the sensitive tummy. About 2 months ago we made changes to her diet and started her on a probiotic powder and she had amazing poops. I thought we had solved the poop problem. But then 2 weeks ago she started having soft poops and then two days/nights of diarrhea. We took her to the vet. They didn't see parasites or worms. We started her on a 5-day antibiotic and chicken and rice. The vet said they had to send a sample out to the lab to check for giuardia, but if she had it they would give the same antibiotic anyway.
After 5 days on the antibiotics and chicken and rice, we started her back on her regular diet and the powder. She didn't have any more diarrhea but her poops were still the pudding type. I kept on expecting them to get better. Then last night she was up during the night with pudding poop and has had two diarrhea poops this morning. We're going back to the vet, but we couldn't get an appointment until tomorrow.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what this can be? I'm thinking it's not food-related. She's also had these weird small white balls in her poop once yesterday and once this morning. I can't figure out what they are and am worrying they could be some sort of eggs (I have no idea if that is possible). Thanks for any suggestions!
