Hi, my doodle has recently been coughing right after taking a drink of water...I'm assuming she just drank too much too fast, but just wanted to see if anybody else had experience with this. Thanks.

Hi Amy,
Yes, this is common with my dogs too. They drink too much, too fast and cough.
If the coughing gets worse or more often, call your vet. If not, it is still worth mentioning on your next visit...but I wouldn't worry too much.

Charlie coughs too - We got a stool and put his dish up higher and that also helped - he has finally learned to sit and breathe in between bites and drinks which helps tremendously.

I have never seen anyone eat that fast - you would think he had been a starving dog
