Hello,
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with your doodle being constipated. Scottie has never had a problem and has suddenly developed this constipation problem. He was at the vet for his yearly physical and I mentioned it to the vet. He had it for about a four days at that point so she had put him on a prescription med for 2-3 days to clean him out which did work but now that he's stopped taking the meds he is back to the same problem. Nothing in his diet has changed so it just seems weird. I don't know if there might be something obstructing him but would he have been able to go when he was taking the medicine if he was obstruced? I don't know!!!!!

Wow, I don't have an answer for you. What does the vet say? I'd definately take him back in and let them know that he's having the problem again.

i'd definietly check with the vet...maybe even have an xray later on if it continues? also what about bringing in a stool sample when you GET one without your doodle on meds?

we deal with the opposite problem so i don't have a clue.

Yes, let the vet know what's going on.

In the meantime, what do you feed him. Is he by chance on straight dry kibble? I've found that some dogs can tend to be constipated on a diet of dry kibble. Just a thought.
