Ouchie! Poor pups! We hope everything checks out okay at the vets tomorrow. We've never had a broken tooth before, but here are some links I found. (Apparently broken teeth are pretty common for dogs. Someone needs to invent doggie crash helmets. ) If Mija is eating or drinking, I would probably keep everything at room temp.
Vanessa....OUCH! That had to had hurt. I always fear that mine are going to do damage to each other, especially the way Miko "powerslams" the boys! Lucky for Rumor, he leaps over her. Good luck at the vet today, please keep us posted.
What a freak accident! I hope they are both feeling ok this morning.
We had a golden when I was a kid, and she preferred fetching rock to sticks. Most of her teeth were chipped/broken because of it. I'm sure my parents didn't even ask about fixing her teeth - what would be the point? But I've never heard of a dog having dental work. Let us know what the vets says.
Wowsa...What a collision. Interesting theory regarding the full moon. This is another reason this forum is so wonderful. We learn so much. I never even imagined anything like this could happen.
Is Mija in pain? I know when we have an exposed root it can be excruciating.
Aww man poor Mija. I really wonder if all of those meds are necessary? I would think something simple like Ibuprofirin or even Traumeel or Arnica to keep the inflammation down would be fine. You did say that she didn't seem to be in pain right?
On the tooth...Seeing as they have face testicle implants for dogs  you would think that they could get a tooth replacement! Root extraction does seem pretty traumatic for poor Mija... It's tough to say.
