Bonus story: On Christmas morning (when I had my own family) I always tried to be the first person up. My family assumed it was because I was excited about it being Christmas, since they knew Christmas to be my favorite holiday. What they didn't know is the true reason. Getting up first gave me a few quiet moments to count my blessings and think of past Christmases. Then I was ready to start the new Christmas Day.

HA! I laiugh about it now, too........when I was 12, it wasn't so funny.
My grandmother believe it or not........she was kind of a mean old bitty......she had her favorite grandchildren and they were lavished with gifts! We got....well, we got tissues!! She also bought a package of three pairs of dress socks.....opened the package and gave each of my brothers one pair!! I know it's the thought that counts, but c'mon!!!
