Perhaps you already know this, but I'll post just in case.

As of January 1, 2007 CERF (Canine Eye Registration Foundation) has begun issuing registration certificates for hybrid dogs, under a system similar to that offered to purebred dogs.

Here is the web page:

Are you aware

Do you realize That Cerf testing is a YEARLY test , It must be repeated every year
What do you do if your dog is cleared one year and doesnt clear the next
..what do you do with the pups as a result of the breedings you have since produced,

there is NO genetic marker for PRA (Progessive Retinal Atrophy) I did extensive research in this when i bred and raised and showed Rough Collies, and most any vet with knowledge can tell if there is unusal issues in a dogs eyes

I have no doupt that they have made room for Doodles,, they will make more money for a test that does NOT guarantee anything,, This is just What i have realized after 20+yrs as a vet tech, dog breeder/Trainer

my humble opinion
