I remember when I was little trying to catch showflakes on my tongue when it snowed. Lani did the same thing not long after we got her. She ran around the yard trying to bite a snowflake out of the air it was fun to watch.
I guess when you are a puppy the fuzz from the cottonwood trees falls into the same category! Lani spent about 10 minutes outside chasing the fuzz and trying to catch it! She then discovered a hole pile of them on the deck and preceeded to snort her way around the deck and trying to eat them! She had them in her fur and stuck on her nose.
I can't say they would have the same appeal as snowflakes but I'm not a puppy. Now she is standing in front of the storm door watching all the fuzz float by, cheap entertainment!
