For those of you who care, Cash's recovery seems to be going smoother this time. The awful meniscus click is gone and we're back to walkng a couple blocks a day. He's still babying the leg and limps pretty good by the end of our walks, but we're in the 'strengthening stage' of recovery, where we have to push a little. After 12 weeks, we should have a pretty good idea of where he's going to be in terms of recovery. Thanks for putting up with our insecurities and stories. This is one of the best forums on the web.

Thanks for the replies and well-wishes, friends. It has indeed been a long , grueling 4 months for my best buddy and now its starting to look like it was all worth it. Not sure how far he'll come in his recovery, but we're both doing our best to take it as far as we can.
