Hi, I'm new here.

We're going to see "our" puppy this weekend but will bring him home on either 3rd or 10th December.

We can't wait!

They're gorgeous, Shannon.

Our one is chocolate brown with a fleece coat. I think we're going to call him Fred.

Mum is 4th generation, Dad 2nd, if I remember correctly.

Well - we saw him at the weekend, he looked great (pictures below). Judging by the way he was barging his way through his brothers and sisters I think he's going to be a handful!

Well, Woody is HOME! Another 300 mile round trip today to bring him back to our place and he was soooooooo good in the car - he only weed once.

Having trouble getting him to try out his crate. His bedding from his bros and sis are in there and it all looks very comfy but he won't go in there of his own accord. I don't want to pick him up and plonk him inside as that goes against everything I've been told. Any ideas?

It's wonderful to finally have him. He is gorgeous, so affectionate. We are one lucky couple.

Ah well. It's been a big day for him - I guess he'll go in when he's good and ready. Thanks for the tips!

I have to go off in a minute to play guitar in a local bar and my wife Brigid will be left with him - I'm kind of jealous.

I'm going to sleep downstairs tonight so if he whimpers I'll be able to call out to him.

It's been such a long process finding him, I can't tell you how happy we are.

NickW, congratulations!! I have a 6-month old F1 cream LD and just got a nine week old black LD. Life is busy but fun! So glad you're enjoying your pup...and yes, the crate is a beautiful thing indeed!

Cor - you must have lots of energy! Good luck, I'd LOVE to have two.

Woody is settling in really well and is responding to toilet training. He's so affectionate and interested in everything that's going on. The only slight problem is he likes using his teeth when I'm playing with him. Obviously I want to stop this so each time he does it I push him gently away and say "No!" Am I doing the right thing or is there a better way?
