Dakota turned 10 months yesterday and I haven't noticed any visible changes to his coat. He always sheds a bit and I've not noticed any more shedding than usual. Do they always "blow their coat" -- is it always noticable?

Thanks for the reply! Dakota is also an F-1 so maybe what we got is what we get! That would be fine--our son thinks his scruffy coat is sooo cute and has nick-named him "Rock Star"--the look is much more "Rod Stewart" than "Beyonce!" :lol:

I never noticed Boomer shedding profusely either...for an F1, he barely sheds!

JK, I had him groomed very close because at about 8 1/2 mo he started matting big time, and although I brushed them out every day I couldn't keep up with them. It was driving me crazy. :twisted:

Thanks everyone. It took us a while to get used to our NEW Copper but now we just love, love, love his new doo.

by the way, with our poodle puppy that was when we knew she was getting her grown-up coat: the mats were outta control!

But in our shaggy, shedding pups there's nothing quite like it....where's all that fur coming from, and howcome she's not bald with all the coat-loss?
