Poor Iris - she has no idea if she is supposed to be a lab or a doodle! First she gets this crazy toupee on her back between her shoulders, then it grows roots. Thats right, my girl is silvering - big time. All her new growth under the chocolate is silver! Her sides are still short, but the back of her legs (hocks?) are as long as her back. Poor thing, she looks a bit ridiculous! Good thing she is super cute!!

Any idea what her coat might wind up like? She is already 11 months...

The toupee

Her beautiful silver...

And some other random pictures from today - it was BRIGHT outside and very muddy!

(ignore the crappy pictures - it was so bright outside I couldn't see my screen!)

OMG they are so cute!! Our 2 play the same tug of war game with the natural bone :)

I was also thinking Iris looked like mini Denver w/a beard...hahahaha

You are so nice to let them outside...ours are so banned from the yard until it dries out more - I know I'm mean!

They are adorable and each has his/her special look and beauty! I thought I read that you wanted to add a third. What look will it have?

Great pics, I love the last one. I agree it should say Welcome To Our Doodle Home. They are so cute. Doodles just say happy, happy, happy all over their faces.

I have no real preference over coat type or color for our next dood - I've been keeping an eye out for OLDER baby puppies (12-20 weeks old) and will take any that I fall in love with as long as the temperment is right. (Hint hint to the forum breeders). I really want to avoid as much of the 8-12 week baby stage as possible. 16 weeks would be perfect I think.

Doesn't it look like there is a spot next to Iris for a new baby dood? I'm definitely framing that one - they are so freaking cute together!

As you probably know, Coco's coat has been
changing for a long time now....it has really
been interesting to watch....

Coco is nearly 16 months old and I've recently been
told that she has just blown her puppy coat
and may still be.....though she isn't shedding hardly at all.
Only a little in her brush...

Iris looks great by comparison!
she is adorable and has a gorgeous color a
nd texture to her coat!! So, she has a little toupee!!
It's beautifully wavy and maybe she will be growing
longer everywhere soon! If not, she is so pretty!
She does remind me of Jonah and Denver!

I don't think Coco recognizes herself every
time she goes by a mirror....
Her coat seems to change that fast!
I just trimmed her body to about 1-1/2 inches,
and a little off her head and chest....
trying to blend it all some;
The transition lines were way too
distinct and abrupt. She differs in
color and in texture in many places....
though it seems to be changing all over to more poodley....
We'll see. I haven't been right yet in my predictions!!
