I received an email from Franklin county Humane Society In frankfort ky today...

I am wondering if you could take your time and tell me if you think the two dogs Razz and Lilly are Labradoodle mixes. Please let me know something, on the website they are listed as shepherd mixes untill we get some idea of what they are.
Thank You,
Geneva
Here are the dogs...

Lilly

Razz

Thanks for your help, gang![/url]

They look a lot like Labradoodles but their coloring is odd which makes me wonder if they might be another breed mixed with the standard poodle. And Razz's tail is awfully long for a Labradoodle. Sorry I can't offer anymore help than this :?

Mark...they're both adorable but possible multiple doodle mixture?
I was looking at their structure, coat, color , stance etc
possible shepard and/or terrier mixes?

Personally IMO i would not label them labradoodles

doesn't matter as they are cutie pies--hope they both find great homes

I'd vote no.
I'd suspect a bit of border collie and maybe old english sheepdog? The coat and color drove me there... but that tail is really long and full... almost St Bernardish... I'd guess we're looking at more than 2 breeds in that mix.

the first thing I thought of when I looked at Razz, that he looked like sheepdog and poodle.....
I'd vote no.

gee, there seems to be reasons for both sides of the argument. I think we can all see a possibility of a bit of poodle infusion, but there's no way these are solely labradoodles, due to the points others have made, e.g. tail, coloring, etc.

I usually look at the set of the ears for any hint of terrier. I'm not at all familiar with sheepdogs or herding dogs (border collies, etc) so I have no clue.

Howcome the shelter labeled them as shepherd mixes?
