My new Standard Poodle has always been a kennel dog and doesnt know her name, the owners never referred to her by any name. On her papers her name is really long, and ends in Sofie.

I tend to shorten names so I was trying to think of a one sylable name.
Any suggestions! I like Fay but I have a neigbor named Fay!

Jac ... if you are reading this... how are those puppies, and how are your new additions.

another vote for sophie - and then it will be either soph or fee.

I call angus - ang
trytan - tryst
duncan - dunc
mackenzie - kenz
hayden - hay

so as you can see I love one syllable too but still give a longer name!

That's funny movistar. Doc has a one syllable name, but, I usually call him Doc-a-doo, or Doc-a-doodle-doo!

Have to admit, I'd go with Soph, just like Sophie Tucker did.....that is if she's sassy! Please don't make me feel really old by not knowing who she was...do a google search and lie to me please!
