Lucy is 10 months now and really started to shed a lot. She always has just a little but this month has been terrible. I bought a brush called the furminator and it is wonderful (although a bit pricey). Her coat has more the look of a lab than a poodle but the longer coarse coat on her back has really been coming out. Do some doodles go through a coat change like that? Glad she still has her beard

She's probably blowing her puppy coat. Dakota never noticably blew his. He has always shed a bit but non overly so. I brush him every morning which helps.

When they blow their puppy coat...they shed like crazy!! I went thru that with both of mine.

Angel is going through the same thing...shedding like crazy :? I also broke down and bought the Furminator and love it! She is 8 mos. old and I can see her adult coat coming in. It's a couple inches long so far. I am waiting for it to be finished! I am taking her to the groomer to get her coat "evened out". I am also hoping that the shedding will slow down when she is done blowing her puppy coat.
