AB does really well with some stuffed toys, others she has a hole in them in 5 minutes - the ones she starts to disect, I put in the "surgery" box in the office to be sewn up.

I'm sitting in LR tonite, doing stuff on laptop and look down and there is AB with her "holy mouse". I asked her what she was doing and where she got the mousey, she drops it, comes over sits at my feet and drops her head - who says animals arent smart - she knew darn well that came from the surgery box in the office - door always closed but Daddy was in there on the puter so she snuck in and grabbed the mousey, told her she could have it as long as she was nice, so she went back and laid down with the mousey and nuzzled it, so cute - Gotta love those doodles !

Oops, got caught

mmmmmmm - good mousey

What, I'm being nice!

No,no,no Mary! As I learned from Gene: the best and most fun stuffed animal is a carcass. The joy is in destuffing and the triumph is carrying around the prize carcass. You are undoing all of Anabelle's hard work! That is what she was trying to tell you!

Annabelle is darling! She looks so sweet...even with her deflated mouse! LOL

I agree with the others, my dogs enjoy pulling the stuffing out and then the deflated toy becomes a coveted favorite and is stolen from one dog to the next.

I wish that I could understand dogs as well as they understand us. They are amazing!

Mary, she's absolutely gorgeous! Dexter has one favorite toy that he hasn't dismantled yet. It's a stuffed squeaky squirrel and he gives it a run for it's money. It is absolutely putrid smelling and I keep forgetting to take it with the laundry. But if I wash it I'm afraid the appeal will be gone. I love to take him to Petsmart and let him run around the aisles picking a toy. He changes his mind a few times, and often goes back to the first one he picked. He's a little spoiled too.

Nice to meet you, by the way (and Annabelle too).

Thanks - I love your avatar of Dexter -

I take AB to petsmart and let her pick out her toys too. It amazes me how she will "save" a chosen few of her toys, but can rip the innards out of others in less than 5 minutes upon getting them.

I throw her toys in washer all the time - she has never Not gone back to one of them - her faves are still her faves even after washing

she has a stuffed squirl too - looks so real, she loves it. i tell her not to take it outside or the Hawks may swoop down and take it from her
