After the frisbee game at the school yard !
and
After the groomer!!

A little fluffy still
and don't care for so much off her face....
don't know if you can tell the difference (?)
.....groomer did manage to brush out the tangles and matts fairly well!!
She's tons better now!

Very pretty Coco! You look wonderful! And always remember, if you're not crazy about it ... it will grow out!

I wonder why groomers feel the need to fluff them out so much?! Do you think it is the training on poodles that compels them to do it! Jane, if you want to defluff a bit take some water on your hands and rub it around her. That will bring back a little curl and it's what I do to myself if I need to defluff my hair!

Jane, Coco is a beautiful dog! (And your yard is sooooooo lovely too!)
I noticed the "fluff" too...I do think that groomers try to make our doods into Poodles, for some reason...perhaps its what they know...but she is pretty either way!
Like the others have mentioned, you can always tame the "frizzies" a bit with a spritz of water or detangler...but you can leave it the way it is and she will find something to roll in soon enough anyway! lol
Pretty girl!

OK, Now!!
Somewhere someone asked what triggered the 500 in a doodle!!
I took the suggestions about spritzing with water, and detangler...from a mist bottle I had....

Well, the floor got all wet!! And the Doodle 500 was on!!!
She is only half fluffed now! And has already been in the dirt out back!

Thanks for the compliment on the yard, Jac....I love to garden
and would spend a fortune doing so,
IF I had a fortune to spend.....Ha!
It is a challenge to keep Coco out of things!

Coco is beautiful, fluff and all!!! I have an early morning grooming ritual with Dakota. I stumble out of bed and into the family room. He follows me, drops to the floor and rolls over for his morning grooming. His coat always comes out somewhat fluffy and son Sean always comments that he likes Dakota better with tangled hair!!

Your YARD is beautiful and so it that bay window!

Thanks for the compliments about the yard....
My neighbor stopped by when I was out front with Coco and
he changed the settings on the camera...
I don't even know what it was set on before to switch it back.
Yes, I am blonde and digitally challenged!!
I didn't mean for Coco to end up barely in the bottom
of the frame and so much of the house in the picture
.....but,
I love to garden and dig...
I love color....and I can't help showing you the backyard next...
...though it is much fuller now and more colorful....
(just in time to pull things and put panises in next month.)
I have a portable greenhouse, may build a real one someday...
first need to sink the flagstone and put up a new fence....you know
too many projects, but Steve likes them, thankfully!!
Our mild winters and a small heater make it easy to keep things blooming out there until spring.
Wish we had the acreage Annmarie has, or a piece of property like
Chouette's mom has.... such a
gorgeous wooded place....I gather.
Oh well, I am thankful for my little suburbia lot!

Gardening truly is therapy for me and the color and greenery
makes me soooo happy! Wish the yard were a little bigger for two doodles....since I do think we are in for another soon....
But the park is nearby....not a dog park, ( never going back there!)
just a park. Sorry so chatty!! Waiting for everyone to get home!

It's hard when your doodle first gets groomed because it seems like you're taking home a whole different dog! Coco doesn't look like her usual self but she'll defluff quickly and it's nice to be able to see her eyes better. It also gives her coat a chance to rethink its position and behave itself.

I love your yard. That must take tons of time but it certainly pays off!

she looks very cute! I'm always shocked when Dex gets his face trimmed...they look like different dogs often after a cut.

I wish grooming tables weren't so expensive....I would do her myself all the time, instead of some of the time...and maybe her face would stay the way I like it.....I'm not wild about plucking ears.....( which I finally did, and it does help to keep them clean ) I am still nervous about toenails, and don't want to express anal glands.....Soooooooo, she goes occassionally for all that to be done.
